I just assumed she meant the Canadian side
We're going to both sides, part of what I saved for was the kids passports as well so they could go into Canada. We'll be there Friday-Monday. But, we're staying on the US side.
Aussie and I went a few years ago, so, I kind of know what to expect, but the kids don't quite get it. They've seen a lot of waterfalls, but none like that.
I'm kind of glad I couldn't have afforded it back then, I don't think they would have been big enough to enjoy it. Now they are.
I need to try this! I'm always scraping by but a little goes a long way
It's worked well for us, just because you never really miss that $0.50 in the bottom of your purse. And, I ended up saving more, because I stopped using my debit card to pay for things and always took out cash so I could get change when I bought groceries or gas or whatever. But, I spend less money when I use cash. Your baby is little, you save now, in 5 years you can have a heck of a trip with her.

It will all be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end
Happily remarried to a wonderful man (Aussie). I think I found the right guy and the right finger this time.

We do this as well. Or at least I do and I'm slowly converting TG to cash. We save our cash for christmas time activities/gifts. We've saved quite a bit this year doing this.
But that's just a lot of water

Years ago I got a big empty plastic water bottle... The ones that are used for water coolers...
I put it in my closet and everyday I'd empty my pockets of change... Years went by and the bottle kept getting my daily change...
Well, the thing got filled up... I didn't even think about how heavy it would be... It took me, a dolly and a friend to get it down the stairs and into my truck for a drive to the bank...
The people at the bank were amazed when I rolled the thing in...
An hour later they handed me about $10,000...
A little here, a little there adds up!

*waving to you from the American side*
Have fun! I'm a lifelong resident of WNY, but this summer at my g2g was the first time I did the Maid of the Mist. It was great! I can't wait to take my kids at some point.
