@eranda - Yes, but it can take weeks and then come back.
It's exactly what tushnurse described. Treatment doesn't immediately clear it up or it can take varying degrees fo treatment. It's a recurrent problem.

Old Timer, Just here to help
My screen name is: Am I The Ow? - Not Ami the OW.
Because in my situation I didn't know if I was the OW at first or if I was being cheated on. Found I was being cheated on.

Well today I managed to avoid the smell, thank God.
Has anyone ever had to address this kind of issue to HR? What the heck do you say?? "Uh... someone here stinks and is fouling up the bathroom and I want you to do something about it"?
I mean I know that's not what I should say, but how DO you put it?

I would say: someone who uses the second floor bathroom has a very strong body odor, and it's making it impossible to use the space comfortably. Do you have a protocol for addressing this issue?
And then let them tell you what the protocol is .
If they blow you off, tell them you will come and get them and bring them to the bathroom for a demo next time the issue comes up.

Omg, I am laughing my ass off with this topic. Had the exact same issue when I was working 20 years ago. I can remember that smell to this day! Ugh! There's really nothing you can do, except try to figure out her bathroom schedule and get there first! Our culprit was a well-groomed but obese lady. I think she showered daily (there was no smell standing next to her), but after 8 hours encased in hose and polyester, she had no control over her sweaty cooch!
