One other thing I did, when I copied everything financial after D-Day, was make copies of all vehicle registrations to prove they were his - truck, 4 wheeler bike, snow mobile and sail boat.Plus I took pics of his workshop full of tools (and he had a ton). Never had to use them, but wanted to be protected just in case.

Also hide your jewelry or anything he may go after.

When the pain of D is over, you still have to live financially.

I divorced him because I didn't like his girlfriend.

Pippy, that is brilliant. That is something everyone should do for insurance purposes anyway, but definitely could be useful in a contested D. Timestamped pictures can prove that an asset existed in the home on a certain day and was not "lost" or "given away" long before then. Especially if said asset is taken after filing, or an agreement signed, etc. or like you said, before anything happened at all.
