All those symptoms you feel , I also feel. you explained them so well . my stbxww said some unbelievably cruel demeaning things to me before and after d day I cannot even type them because I will trigger but I do feel as you do as far as the analogy of the broken bone. I am so much better than 6 months ago but the pain is still there. For me I like to dive into it , instead of avoiding it , why? because f--k it the more I feel the pain the weaker it will become. You sound great and focused , That is good !

FWIW Phantom, he lied to you. His reactions to being near you and your family speak volumes. He was guilty and he is regretful. That's why he won't talk to you. He is supremely ashamed, as he should be. When the fantasy wears away and the new wears off this COW he will have major remorse. I just hope you are in a place of supreme happiness when it happens so you inadvertently get to rub his nose in it.

BIG, HUGE hugs!

He can't believe some if things he said. He cringes when I tell him.

When one is in an affair not only can they not see the forest through the trees, they can't even see the trees...

The reason I'm still here - the fact that I knew this wasn't the man I married, it was some broken version of him. That gives me hope.
