now we can warn all the newbies to look for the Christmas beaver. Or is it a puppy? Or some other as of yet unknown animal?
Puppy.

Michael's is good. I usually get mine from the dollar store.

Glittery dog poop is the consequence of that!
Love it, Willie!
How can I get my cat to eat glitter? It would make cleaning the litter box a little bit of fun if it was filled with glittery cat turds.

Okay. I have been here for 2.5 years and I have no idea about these Christmas traditions you speak of. Glitter? Do tell.

They're talking about the Christmas card exchange that is posted down in Fun & Games. Many people *cough* aubrie *cough* that participate like to add glitter and much of it.

Is it just for the USA SI-ers of for people from all over the globe?
Sounds intriguing

All around the globe. In the past we've had a few from Canada and a couple from Europe that have participated. Deeply Scared addresses how those outside the US can participate.

I get a big round container of glitter from Wal-Mart with 4 or 5 different colors. It's only a few bucks.
This isn't my first or second time around the block when it comes to the CC exchange. I send to everyone on the list. Yeah, it might cost a bit in postage. But there really is no way to explain how nice it is, to get so much holiday <3 from people that may not know you, but they know....where you've been, where you are, and where you will end up getting
I'm not the only one that couldn't find a smile anywhere around the holidays except for when I opened the mailbox and had glitter pouring while I walked up the driveway. I hope that my glitter filled card makes someone smile, even if they don't recognize my s/n on here.
Lawd, I just realized how long you guys have been with me. My son was in diapers when I first found SI. He's in middle school now - YIKES!

I've done it every year I've been here. It really helped me through those first few Christmases. Since I've moved up to Canada, I dragged my DH into the fun. his only rule is that I have to open the cards over a bowl. The dogs still get into it though.
