SMY, I still don't have my car back. The garage we towed it to lost their power for 3 days. By the time they got power back, it was too late to order parts, so.....Luckily my daughter brought her car for me to use because there wasn't even ONE car available for rent in all of Toronto Christmas Eve. Is your vehicle OK?

..well, I did manage to get it started last night and pull it off the street... so no ticket at least! We're not supposed to park overnight on the streets.

I will have to take it in to our local GM dealer and have them check it out, Could be needing a new battery. They may be open tomorrow. I'll call them first thing Fri. morning and book an appointment.

Let's just hope it's a simple and quick fix!!

I know people who still have no power. A friend's sister had a power line crash on a tree which then crashed on to her vehicle. Another tree branch fell and smacked into her living room window. She and her kids spent Christmas at her husband's brother's place in Oakville, while husband stayed at the house till they can get a glazier in to fix the window (i.e., security) issue. They had an electrician at the house for 10 hours before their personal electricity problems were fixed, but still no power because their area was completely out. I was lucky. There were outages to the immediate east and west of my place.

Everything went very, very well! Had a pretty good turnout, all things considered. Even had a chap from Nashville wander in off the street to check out the paintings because he saw them through the window! Someone mentioned that she'd told a friend of hers that she was going to attend the opening, and he replied that he'd been to the venue the previous night, seen the exhibit and loved it. Yay! I'm feeling very Zen this morning. Oh, and a tad hung over!
