I have to make an effort to "be open".

Do you know how to have fun, cmego?

Take a lesson from children. When they lose themselves in playtime and fun, they are naturally open.

ummm…I don't have much time for fun. I'm too busy juggling.

Today, I took my kiddos to a park and we just walked and ran and talked and connected. Then went for frozen yogurt. I played WiiU with my kids and ordered pizza last night. That was fun. With my kids I can relax and be myself…but they don't want anything from me except for love and attention. No ulterior motives.

What little downtime I have without kids is spent recharging my introverted batteries. When they are at school, I have to run errands/clean and do all of my Grad. school work during the day. They are home by 2pm and almost everyday is spent running to sports or doctors appointment (both special needs). Their homework, then feed them, ready for bed, and it is 8-8:30 at night and I do any remaining homework for myself and collapse. Then I'm right back up at 5:45am. Rinse, Lather, Repeat.

The 2 weekends a month that I don't have kids, I generally go out to dinner with friends or go on a date. But, it is also my time to do my school work. I go on those weekends to Starbucks and sit in a corner and read textbooks.

Someone asked me what TV shows I watched…and I literally LOL'd.

So..fun? I would have to schedule it.
