K9....I WOULD totally adopt the cat....BUT...I think its #1 the neighbor's cat... and #2 I'm moving to my dad's and he doesn't want any pets....or I would! I don't want to have to put the cat back out after a few weeks and my daughter get attached. But, when we move out again on our own....we are totally getting a cat! 
My XWH was allergic to cats...and I had to settle for dogs...(not that I don't love dogs too) but cats are way easier.... and I grew up with cats. I miss them!
