NYC has so many great places! I'd also recommend:

Soho

Greenwich Village

Chinatown

Nolita

Museum of a Modern Art

Metropolitan Museum

Guggenheim

I second the suggestion for the Tenement Museum. It was awesome.

If the weather is nice, Central Park.

This is really spendy, but Sleep No More is an interactive theater piece that is nothing at all like anything else you have ever encountered. Definitely an amazing experience.

An interviewer once asked me if I could sum up everything I know about psychology in ten words or less. I said, "Hell, I can do it in two words: People cope." --Mira Kirshenbaum

Oh Johns Pizzeria is awesome and right down the block from Carmines lol. Shake shack has great burgers but the original in the park on 23 st is the best. Barnes and Noble union square is worth a visit....union square is worth a visit (I swear that is my dream neighborhood to live in). Im not a huge museum person but the MoMa, natural history, Guggenheim, metropolitan museum of art are all worth visits. To be honest I really just love walking around.....oh and eating....I love food lol.

I spent a few months there several years ago. I highly recommend getting up early one day - around 6 am - and going for a walk around midtown. It's amazing watching the city come to life.

Have fun!

If anyone goes in April, (I am, yeah me!) the Tribeca Film Festival will be going on. I have been to Sundance a couple of times and if you are a film buff, the experience of watching a film and then getting to ask questions and listen to answers about the film you have just experienced from the director, producer and actors is a thrilling experience.

This Monday AMEX holders can purchase tickets.

I also love Umami burgers which just opened last year in Greenwich Village. Long wait probably so go at an off time. Love the burgers, although they are small, and the smashed potatoes.

I heart NY

I'm going to try John's Pizza and Katz Deli next time, thanks for the recs!

Whenever I am in NYC Lombardi's Pizzeria is a must - it is the best pizza in all of NYC!
