I let the DVR record for a while before I started watching so I can skip the blathering cohost bits.

Great show. I wish they would bring Brooke back.
Watching everyone dance has given me motivation to start exercising again.

It aired!? Now I have to go watch it and pretend like I could do all that lol.

Wow! Just watched Amy Purdy dance. She was incredible.

Overall lots of good dancers this season. I can't wait until next week.

I loved it!! It's going to be a really good season!!
Does anyone know the back story about what Brooke is no longer co-hosting?

Brooke was not asked back to co-host. Lots of speculation, but I'm buying into the one with the show wanting younger co-host to appeal to a younger demographic.

Amy killed it. WOW - if you ever are feeling down and need some inspiration, spend some time watching her dance.
DJ Tanner did a great job too, as did Winnie, but I think Winnie needs to chill a bit. She's so freaking star struck!
Looks like it's between Billie Dee and Diana for first off the island, though Diana at least brought a little game. Billie looked like he was walking (stumbling?), though in his defense, with a little strut to his step.
I do not know who the two "hot" young dudes are (hmmm...not hot to me, but then again I'm ancient), but there is obviously some chemistry with their partners. Nothing like sexing up an otherwise boring Monday evening!
Drew is definitely last year's Bill and I'll be secretly rooting for him. I'm normally a bit of a NeNe fan, but she's got to bring it down 12 notches in the rehearsals. It'd be different if that attitude showed up on the floor …"Know what I'm sayin?"
Charlie did fine but the big question I have is WILL HE EVER STOP SMILING??? I thought Sean was the Jacoby Jones of a few seasons back – kind of a smartass. I’m still trying to get his humor.
Seriously though, just hand the damn thing to Meryl – did you catch when Maks asked her if she could spin in his hand? Really? You’re asking someone who’s had Olympic level figure skating training and experience if they can spin? That’s the thing with the athletes that jump into this. They’re not only athletes, but a bigger part of what makes them good is they possess a training mindset. I competitively figure skated in my youth. The money it takes to coach someone is insane – ain’t no one got time for lack of focus! It’s a world of “I’ll show you it, you do it, and then you do it again and again and again.” Huge difference from other folk.
Oh, and Erin sucks. Sorry, but I'z callz 'em like I'z seez em.

I liked Erin's humour.
To me Brooke was a little to serious and very wooden.
Hate Erin's "girl sportscaster voice".
Low and kind of sing song.
There is another female sportscaster here in Canada that has that ultra girly look like Erin but sounds like my uncle Bob.
I don't really think they need an eye candy co-host for the show anyway. Tom can handle it all on his own.
ETA: Loved the dancing. Amy made me cry. She was sooooo good. Meryl is very bony. Of course she can spin Maks, duh!!
I thought Candace was a surprise stand out.
Billy Dee...buh bye.

OMG! Who is voting for Billy Dee Williams? This is getting uncomfortable to watch. Reminds me of poor Buzz Aldrin. Both are great men....but probably would have done better at this 40 years ago.

I positively can't stand Meryl...she's so stuck up and color us all stupid if she and Maks aren't getting it on
She makes me sick
I love how enthusiastic Drew is...he's such a joy to watch.
I agree about Billy Dee...time for him to go.

DS - She irks me, too. The little girl voice and giggle?
I wonder if he is just flirting to help the score/votes. I can't see them together.
I didn't realize that years ago, Mak had dated Peta and had been engaged to Karina. I feel bad for Peta with the whole James surprise.
Not thrilled with Witney.
I would to love go see DWTS live.

I think Cody Simpson is going to win just by virtue of his twitter and FB followers. I think he can dance and he will improve. He seems like a nice kid. But, I have got to say I hate the pants he wears. The sagging. UUugggghhh! Even his costume for his dance was sagging. C'mon does he really need all that room? Is that the whole package Erin is talking about? His package is so big he needs his crotch with lots. of. room.
