Update : I texted him at 6pm and asked if he still wanted to try to get together this weekend. As of now, 9pm, I have not heard back.

He does work until 11pm, so I will give him that, but if I don't hear from him tomorrow, I guess I will have my answer.

Yay for you, Sparkysable! And yay for him. He was smart enough and brave enough to start a conversation with an attractive, smart woman! Now I hope he isn't too shy to act on it.

He's shy and you know that. I guaranty he's probably sitting at home scared to death about texting you again because of rejection. I say throw him a bone and text him yourself. Let him know you're free this coming weekend and was curious if he was still interested in getting together. If he declines then game over, erase his number, no harm done.

Yep, this is what I was thinking.... I know what it's like to be shy and to want to call someone, but can't bc you're terrified...!!

Keep us updated!

Still no response to last night's text from me to him, asking if he still wanted to try to get together this weekend. It's Friday, if I'm going out, I need time to get a sitter.

I guess you never know what's going on with someone. Something must have made him change his mind. Whatever it was, it's not about me.

I'm sorry he didn't respond.

i'm still in the camp that if a guy wants to see you, he will make it happen, He will be considerate and he will give you enough time to get a sitter.

Take it as a huge compliment that he approached you and congrats! these steps are hard!!

I'm assuming you didn't hear from him. I figure that must be because he fell down a giant hole and broke his cellphone in the process because why would he ask you out otherwise and then not get back to you?!?!?

Well, it's his loss.

No response. Complete radio silence.

I figure that must be because he fell down a giant hole and broke his cellphone in the process because why would he ask you out otherwise and then not get back to you?!?!?

Yes TA74, clearly he is stuck at the bottom of a big giant pit, screaming for help, holding his busted cellphone crying "NO! NO! Now I can't go out with the beautiful sparkysable! My life is ruined! HELP! HELP! SOMEONE GET ME OUT OF THIS GIANT PIT AND FIX MY CELLPHONE!"

That MUST be what happened....

Apology. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
