For lunch today, I brushed two slices of bread with a garlic-infused olive oil. layered swiss, a tiny bit of fontina, tomatoes, and pesto on the inside and grilled it.

I have a ciabatta starter going, but don't where else I'm going for dinner. I'm thinking about making a soup with vegetables from the garden.

So, I decided to do a tomato and pesto bruschetta on ciabatta, a garden veggie stew, and serve leftover spaghetti and meat sauce.

Thanks, NIK. I had no idea what that was, either. For some reason "banana avocado" was the very first thing that came to my mind.

I'm putting together a late-night brunch because Waywardson has to work overnight tonight. He's training for a new job and has to work all of the positions he'll be supervising, so this is the one time he'll have to work overnight. He's sleeping now and I promised him breakfast when he wakes, around 10.

Sounds good, TIKY.

We're having more sweet corn, but this time paired with salmon. It's the best meal I've made in months, if I do say so myself. And I do.

I had a ham sandwich at a local craft festival. It was delicious.

I picked a banana walnut bread at the church lady tent for breakfast tomorrow.

Texas Pete's hot sauce and siricha

TX Pete AND Sriracha??? That's hot.

We're having more sweet corn

I LOVE me some corn!! I even have a HUGE field of it growing behind my house. It sounds nice, but it isn't because they grow it for feed or ethanol and it RUINED the corn I had planted (and a few other things in the garden) mutated when the corn pollen came out in the field!

I'm in trouble with the muffin thing! They LOVED them!! They started calling them "Pancake Muffins". And I was just trying to find a way to use up some instant oatmeal that nobody was going to eat!

I cooked twice during the week and ate leftovers until they were gone: pulled pork and turkey chili with beans and cornbread with both. Went to a covered dish dinner/party last night. Guess what main dishes there were? Chili and pulled pork!! along with pizzas. Guess what I chose?? The only one I wasn't sick of! No ideas yet for dinner tonight.

Pizza tonight from a local restaurant - yummy. ima - DD&D's just visited a diner near me! They have amazing food. I'm not so sure about hot sauce AND sriracha though -

They were great!

I was a little lery of the siracha Texas Pete's combo but with the homemade ranch dressing it was wonderful.

Oh I love deep fried mac and cheese. It's not something I make at home...

Having hummus and avocado on a whole wheat chapati, and a hard lemonade vodka cocktail.

Might have another one of those for dessert.

There's also Vanilla Coconut Bliss, strawberries and chocklit syrup for later.

it's all about the grill tonight - shrimp, asparagus, and tomatoes served with brown rice for the main course. Dessert will be grilled pound cake with raspberries and whipped cream.

We're clearing out the fridge:

garden veggie stew

red beans and rice

sausage jambalaya

and various baked goods we have around.

Oh, it's movie night, so add popcorn and mini candy bars to the list.
