If my WW brings the AP/OM around my kids she better bring a body bag, i dont think I should be responsible to pick up dog shit off the ground.

The OW met the children and me in passing a few times, but he didn't meet with her when he was with the children.

But he showed her pictures of our children and talked about them a lot. This has been a real struggle for me to understand. How does someone who really prides himself on being a great father show someone pictures of his cute kids, listen to her fake coo over them, and then hop into bed? What more tangible reminders did he need of what was on the line??

Naively optimistic username (chosen in frustration when everything else I could think of was taken or too close to my real name)--but 2 years on, R is truly going well

Yes. We were couples friends with OW and her H. OW and FWH made a few attempts to get their daughters together (FWH's daughter is my step-daughter), but the girls just never hit it off. They were always civil and polite during visits, and always made an effort to be agreeable, but fundamentally, they did not really like each other very much. I know that FWH and OW were very disappointed!

I had no idea there were so many of us. My WH used our youngest kids as a front for meeting with his OW. He would tell me they were going to a park or a museum, then arrange to have OW "accidentally" meet them there. He had the boys take her a housewarming gift when she moved into the house where most of their sex dates took place.

And after DDay, he "forgot" to tell me any of that until I specifically asked him. He said it didn't seem like an important detail.

Me & WH: 50+, married 23 years, 4 kids, now D
DDay: 3/5/14, 7 yr LTA plus multiple ONS
Conclusion: Some things are just too broken to be fixed.
