Mods, can I remove the stop on my post? I'm interested if any WS's are willing to share their stories on how they felt when the reality of their choices came to pass. Most especially how their children dealt with this over time.
I may be speaking out of school but Waywards are not allowed to post in JFO, there is a thread in the Wayward forum for questions to Waywards.

True story:
Just today I worked from home, so I was able to pick my kids up from school. Usually my WW just picks them up and drops them at my MIL’s, she barely has them an hour- then I pick them up when I get off of work. She will call to say goodnight and “I love and miss you guys”, if she remembers. He conversations with them are that shallow and quick; doesn’t ask how school is going, how they are doing or anything- typically it’s a 2 minutes call to all 3 of my kids. Anyway, I texted her that I was WFH today and would be picking up the kids. She said she told them last night she would get them and didn’t want them to be disappointed.
I simply stated, “the kids barely even mention your name nowadays, so I don’t think they’d be disappointed.”

My ex WW didn't really crash but before our marriage was finalized she was pregnant with another mans twins (not OM). Now she works 40-50 hours a week at Home Depot. My kids always want to come over our house whenever possible. By the time they hit high school I expect they will only see their mother every other weekend.
I hear from mutual friends that isn't very happy. And the picture the kids paint doesn't seem happy either.
