I'm really late to this topic but wanted to clink glasses with you because Feb 13, 2018 was exactly 50 years since I met my XWH and our wedding was May 1972 so our timelines are similar in that regard.
Even though you still ache, I'm glad you've found a place of peace. I hope I find that sooner than later and that we can clink glasses again when I do - we can be the 2 old fart survivors.
Only problem is, I'm afraid the young fart NTV will try to take over the spotlight.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and clinking of glasses..
Keep searching for your personal place of peace. The animal rescue path could provide much motivation and focus... and especially, satisfaction working with animals. Read my tagline.. 
..as for being 'old farts'..I joined the club at 60, just so I could get the 'senior's OLD FART discount.. 30% off on Tuesdays at our favorite thrift store.
and.... just by using the word 'fart' in a post on SI, will set off alarm bells on ntv's computer.

I feel your pain, it is so hard when you do not know what you married and you think/know you did.
