That is such a good point. I think it’s especially easy to pretend to be someone I am not when I am behind a computer screen. Even though this is my first post on SI, I already caught myself typing things out like “us waywards....” and realized: I’m no expert, I’m just pretending I’m better than I am again. In the moment I still choose to lie to protect myself, so I’m the last person who should be acting like I totally get it now. Thinking about what I’m about to say, and my reasonings for that is something I can never neglect to do. I needed that reminder. Thank you.
