Thank you all so much for your words of wisdom and support! I’m so glad I found this page! I’m feeling really good today. I know there will be ups and downs and I am trying to prepare for it all. The H came home on Wednesday night and has been sleeping in the basement. We have not spoken a word. I consulted with an attorney and am still trying to find the right counselor for me. My daughter continues to amaze me with her maturity and understanding of the situation. I did not provide her with any details, but she knows things are not good. She’s 13, btw. She told me this morning that she’s a little sad but no matter what happens she knows we will be OK because we will be together.

I bought myself a fireproof and waterproof safe, with a lock, to store all my important documents and valuables so he cannot touch them. I tried to get the cameras working again, but only one works and he unplugged it when he got home. Time to figure out plan b for safety. I do not carry, but I have my car keys, a can of wasp spray and a hammer next to my bed, just in case. Today I plan on talking to a mortgage company to see what I can get approved for, and also looking into apartments.

I read the 180 and it’s amazing. I plan on following that and pretending he doesn’t even exist!!! Focusing on me and my girl!!! Thank you all again!
