Waywards tell themselves lots of things to make their behaviour not seem so bad. This “mental gymnastics” may not make sense to others but it helps them be ok with their behaviour.

Is it possible that when your husband was being unfaithful one of his - its was only.... so it’s not a bad thing..... wasn’t that he only saw his AP’s once a week or something similar?? I only saw her once a week and we had sex the other nights so it’s ok? Or I only saw her once a week when CW was at work so that doesn’t take time away from her so it’s ok?

Just a thought for you to explore.
