Been wondering if I should share this one…
Quite a few years ago I went with 4 other guys in a beat-up old Suburban to a very remote fishing site. We had to drive along a remote barely usable track. When we had about 2 hours left to our destination, we hit a deep bump that jarred the truck so hard the rusty radiator sprung a leak. Not too big a leak, but enough that 10 minutes later the engine started overheating.
We had some water with us, so we filled up the radiator, only to get 10-20 more minutes before we had to stop to fill up again. Did this a couple of times but began to run out of water. We filled the radiator with soda’s and juice diluted with water and got another 20 minutes.
Then the big dilemma. We were still at least half an hour from our site. The only liquids we had were Whiskey and beer… Some of us had already been working on drinking the beer it, and in the wise and logical ways intoxicated men think we decided that it was OK to sacrifice the beer to fill the radiator. But only of the beer had been “processed”.
Not a great idea… Next 20 minutes were spent in a cramped truck stinking of heated urine.
Fortunately for the last part of our trip we drove beside a stream leading to our lake destination.
We managed to fix the leak on-site and made it back home in less unpleasant conditions.
Thank God for anonymity!

Think to myself - someone has probably been murdered in this very bed.
Next morning...
Nope.
“Next morning” wouldn’t have happened for me!

Bigger, one of my former employees had an old Subaru with over 300,000 miles on it. In bad weather, ice snow ... she'd pick ME up and take me to work when one of my newer cars wouldn't start. You almost have to run those cars through the crusher to kill them. Not surprised it got you all home.
