I have, that's more SCA-ish, though. Have you ever been to a Vampire LARP? I had waist length hair at the time so I mainly just went so I could wear a corset and get my hair brushed. Obviously I was a Toreador. That's all the Toreadors ever did, just sit around brushing each other's hair.

It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

No, I didn't even know they existed! This sounds fantastic though. I looked up LARPing groups around OH but couldn't really find anything too interesting. I am intrigued by vampire larp though...

I'm proud to report that have no information about anything of a LARP variety since 1994. =)

haha that is probably best. I play MMOs, etc so I'm intrigued by the RPG thing. My boyfriend threatened to beat me if I make him go to a larp though haha.

Okay, I didn't read through the entire thread due to spoilers. I am about 1/3 of the way through the first book. Waaaayy better than Twilight so far.
LadyV, I agree, the name Sookie? What the hell is that?

I just finished Definitely Dead on my way home from work today. I am about to start All Together Dead.
Is the one coming out in May being released in paperback right away? I hate lugging hardcovers on my commute.

HAHA. I think Im with KSA on this one. There is something about holding an actual book, turning the pages, seeing how much more you have to go, that I would def miss with a Kindle.
I do like the idea though-very green which I am trying to be. But with my books- I dont know.

Nurse...I am a MAJAH book person here. When I grew up, my mom was a librarian. I spent whole summers/weekends in an old beautiful library. Love the smell, love the feel of books. I collect books!
However, my life with teens and work and everything else is so incredibly hectic and this little gadget has helped me to streamline. It is better for the environment--I am a quantity book purchaser, not just one every once in a while. And it is much easier than lugging books around with me. The screen looks "soft" like a real book page. I read faster and more than ever before.
You gotta get one of these...

OH...! With the Kindle you can see how far you have to go...there is kind of a progress bar on the bottom...
See no excuses...
Now when does that new book come out? I need my fix.
