Bill Nye is saved for another week.

He was pretty awful. He has a huge fan base, though.

Love the banner and the sparkly mirror ball. Then I saw Tom Bergeron was hosting the thread. Very cool!

Thanks, MH, very fancy!

DS, Leah was fantastic this week. I am going to start rooting for team Leah.

Well it looks like Bill Nye got saved by his fans.

I think it was a decent elimination.

This year there is a big gap between the abilities of the celebrities.

Elizabeth Berkley, Corbin Bleu, Amber Riley definitely have an advantage with their dance experience. I don't care that it's not ballroom experience. They have the rhythm and musicality experience as well as the movement and flow.

At least Len was nicer to Bill Nye with his comments. No need to crush the guy's spirit Len. He is really NOT a dancer. Although he can swing!!

If you watched the emmy's or DWTS last night, you all know that Derek Hough won an emmy for his choreography. Here is a link to the dances he won the emmy for. I absolutely loved his "Walking on Air" choreography and it is fun to watch over and over again.

eta: the link, duh!

All three dance on that site was great in it's own right. I am most impressed by the speed and energy of Derek's Mambo.

It will be interesting if anyone on this season will be able to get that smooth on such a fast dance.

I missed it.

Sorry, but Peyton was on.

Gonna catch up with it during the week and will provide my not-so-expert opinion.

I didn't even realize he had tripped until Tyne said something/asked if he was ok. It looked like part of the dance.

Rescued from page 2.

I missed most of the show last night. My sister doesn't watch it and she called to find out about my meeting with Buddy Valastro from Cake Boss. He was doing a personal appearance in a store I just happened to be in.

I did see Amber, Valerie, Corbin and Brent.

Valerie messed up big time. I can't get over how lovely Tristan is with her and how gentle.

Carrie Ann's comment was spot on about how he partners Valerie.

Love me some Tristan!!

Lola...

I think it was Len that made the beautiful comment to Tristan...although Carrie could have said one too. Either way, it's true, he is so gentle with her and she's having the time of her life

And my girl Leah did GREAT!!!

It's too bad that Bill Nye was hurt, but I think he was the right choice to go home last night.

It was hard to watch Valerie struggle so much. She had such a great attitude when the judges were talking to her, though. Her partner is wonderful. I get teary with those two every week.

Yes, thanks DS, it was Len that praised Tristan.

He can be a sweetheart too when he wants to.

ETA: Is it Brent or Brant?

I was busy with Pigskin Picks issues, so I was hit and miss on who I saw.

Bill's "dance" was kind of funny, actually. Made me LOL and I really needed that.

I missed most of my favorites, though I did see Corbin. Bill E is getting pretty darned almost good! You can tell he really wants to go far.

I wish I’d seen Valerie, I guess I’ll have to hope it’s recorded.

I will say, the new format is very confusing. Having everyone dance just to boot a couple later seems almost cruel. Why they don’t just tell who’s eliminated right away and let people dance more relaxed is beyond me.

My only comment from last night was that some of those women need to be better actresses! When the camera panned across them during other's dances the looks on their faces were so catty!

I think that is the norm in dance competitions.

Watching clips from week 1, I found this quote which I love
