DS14 is making pulled pork in my slow cooker tonight. He has to bring a dish for the upcoming cast party for a play he is in, and he wanted it to be something he made himself. Since he is the only kid in the play, he felt it was important that it be his recipe, not mine. I did insist that he try it out on us before bringing it to the cast party, so that's dinner tonight. Wish us luck!

Grilled pound cake is basically just slices of the cake warmed and maybe toasted a bit, on the grill. I saw the idea on pinterest. I've done it with fresh berries and whipped cream, but I've also eaten it with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate sauce drizzled over it.

Entire can of green beans.

Grape nuts cereal.

And now I think I'll have a protein bar.

Peaches from Palisade, CO. Same thing I had for breakfast this morning.

Bought 20lbs of them at the farmer's market this morning. I wish you all were here, I would share them with you.

Losfer, make homemade ice cream.

My parents have done that every summer since I was a kid, always with fresh peaches. Their homegrown "ice cream socials" are so popular they have to throw at least two every summer.

Delicious. Try it. <-slurrrrp

Leftover pulled pork and roasted carrot salad. And some potato chips because I have been craving them all week. Maybe some raspberry sherbet in a bit.

Tonight. I'm having grilled salmon with a quinoa salad (quinoa, corn, chopped baby spinach, diced red peppers, sliced green onions and fresh parsley in a homemade white balsamic dressing). No dessert; fat enough after a week's vacay!
