Nothing posted, but think Wyle E Coyote and the Acme company type of lit bomb. Round, black with a sparkly fuse. Good god. This is beyond humiliating lol.

I always tell people that it's not a divorce tattoo, it's a new life tattoo. Complicated to explain, but it's a couple of symbols (feruchemy, in Mistborn, if that means anything to anyone) that essentially boil down to new life, and strength. I love it, because it's for me, and reminds me that I make my own path now, for me and my kids.

DivorcED, finally.

30 yrs later, with kids that age, I’m still mortified. I’m an artist and writer in an upper crust town. But I’ll bet there are more embarrassing tattoos than mine under all the fancy clothes.
Oh yeah there is.
But on the butt? Ouch. Good thing you were under the influence of schnapps.

I already have 2. The first says, “surrender.” It’s located inside my left wrist, where I see it often & am reminded.
For me, “surrender” is a distillation of the message contained in the serenity prayer & similar teachings to let go of the things we cannot control–and to focus on the things I can.
ETA: I have another, along the inner aspect of my right foot. It says, “a living soul stands rooted and reaching.”

I've actually had a tattoo picked out since the beginning but haven't gotten it yet. A claddagh ring on fire and melting. Since the claddagh stands for love, loyalty, and friendship, and my husband cheated with my best friend. Seems fitting..

Ok, I’ll give more info. It was shots of raspberry schnapps. For both the “artist” and for me. It was mid day. My backside was in the air, and I signed for a ups package while under the needle. Dr strangelove by motley Crüe was blasting. I had just broken up w my boyfriend (who then became my wh).

Oh, and best part, as if it shouldn’t be obvious, it says boom.
No disrespect, but that is hilarious. The visual is even better.

Thatbpguy, no disrespect taken. I lost all self respect when I dropped my pants in a tattoo parlour. But no question, the whole story is hilarious. And it does make for a funny party story. I had a a very fun wild streak behind the straight A’s and I’m glad it still appears from time to time.

It’s about the size of a silver dollar. Although after 30 years, some with pregnancies, some with/without squats and lunges, the reference-coin size has been, let’s say, fluid.
