I do not flirt, but in my line of work, gregariousness is sort of a necessity. I am privy to my client's financials to the point of vulnerability, so I try my best to make them feel comfortable with kindness and humor while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Sadly, for a lot of men, kindness and humor = sexual interest. I wear a big-ass wedding ring and mention my husband and family often, but this does not inhibit a lot of my male clients.
My husband has been approached by women of all ages. When he tells them he's married or points to his ring, sometimes they shrug their shoulders and say they don't care.
