Facebook Secret Conversations - Fyi
As of October 2016, Facebook released the opt-in feature "Secret Conversations," on its Facebook Messenger application. The Secret Conversations feature enables users to encrypt their messages, allowing only the two individuals involved in the conversation to read the messages. Messages are accessible only on the devices used to create or respond to a conversation. For example, if a smartphone is used to create or respond to a message, users will be unable to see the previous messages on their tablet.
The feature does not work with video, voice calling, or GIF files; however, users can send messages through the encrypted chat. users can choose an expiration time for messages, ranging from five seconds to one day.
