Honestly, Alexander Skarsgard...I can't believe he's only 6'4. Long torso is long.
It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

He's very yummy. Good choice for viking dude... "don't talk about words I don't understand". He can deliver Ericish lines very well

Bumping for sereneaspiration.
AND...have you guys been watching True Blood???? This has been a good season so far.
I am loving the Eric right now. Especially that dream Sookie had last week.

Yes that was truly YUMMY.
I am worried however, that they are going to make the Sookie/Eric thing all dreams and not the real amnesia/spell plot line that happened in the book.

Honestly, I think they're doing the dreams now because Eric/Sookie happens so *late* in the books that they just couldn't fail to do something with it sooner. Eric had to get naked and horizontal ASAP.
Edited because vertical and horizontal are opposites. I have to run, I'm late for second grade.

Yes, Eric does need to get naked asap...
I agree on that ladyv. Will make the eventual less of a shock to those that didn't read the books first.
Personally I kind of like how they are skewing the books a bit. I am still surprised by the TV series even after reading the books!

I like that the show isnt exact to the books also.
But I just love that story line and would love to see more of Eric.
Also wondering if they are going to bring in Alcide eventually.
I know ladyv you said you hated him but it brings alot of storylines in too.

Yeah, I hate Alcide. More than I hate weres in general, actually. He's a smug entitled spoiled prat, IMO.
I think there's something up with Andy, on the show. Why wasn't he affected by Marianne? Everyone else who wasn't affected is a supe.
It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

My H pointed that out Sun too.
I just cant wait for next season bc it seems like this Maryanne saga will be over.
I hate her.

Hi, I am new to this discussion. I love True Blood but haven't read the books.
I don't have a thing for blonde hair men. I like dark hair men so I'd choose Bill over Eric .
Although I don't mind seeing a naked Eric, I prefer Sookie staying faithful with Bill
May be I should start reading the books!

I like dark haired men, too. But Eric is awesome...

Yes, Alicde annoys the heck out of me.
I think Andy wasn't effected because of his rabid alcoholism.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the actor playing Eric last season. I think it was the hair. The long hair looked a bit silly... his eyes were too close together... a little too much 1987 glam rock. The haircut, however. **whistle** Big difference.
I actually preferred the scenes where Eric was all vulnerable post Godric - even with all the blood on his face. Waaaay better than the bed scene. Perhaps because it was more subtle.

Oh yes I totally agree. Im not one for long hair either.
But the first or second episode this season when they were at the mall and he was wearing that track outfit and just got his haircut. WOWZA!!!
I liked seeing him vulnerable as well. I usually dont like the blood tears but when Eric was sitting there with his head in his hands with tears streaming down... well I'd be willing to lick them up!!!!

I am working overtime to pretend that this revoltingly twee concept is not being applied in this series but they are making it damned difficult. If there are ever any references to Cold Dead Seed# I will stop watching this show.
# Unless Cold Dead Seed is band, then it's cool.
ETA very sexy pic of ASkars:
