Fabulous easy to read description of blood sugar health issues and how our culture is so blase about the terrible consequences of diabetes.
This is a blend of narrative of the author's experience getting diagnosed as pre-diabetic and seeing his father suffer from diabetes, mixed in with his research into the doctors, pharmaceutical, nutritional and lifestyle issues.
A big problem the author sees is promotion of pharmaceuticals over lifestyle and nutrition suggestions that are more effective than the drugs but doctors don't to take the time to give patients the support they need to make those changes.
