thank you, thank you, thank you.
I can feel the support everyone is sending us.

LOL I love this! Good for you verysorry
This is what R is about, working hard, turning towards each other, and forever looking for ways to improve and unite. I see R as a lifetime commitment not a race to get forgiveness.
I totally agree. Sometimes I get lost, and I do try to make it a "race" or accomplish the "goal" of forgiveness and reconciliation. But it's not that. It's simply my new way of life. Thank you Thundersmom.
We are doing ok, DD is doing ok, considering the circumstances. We are just taking everything day by day. What else can you do. It is absolutely every parents worse nightmare.

I know I'm late chiming in, but just wanted to add my thoughts for your family. I'm so sorry you are all going through this. It truly is every parent's worst nightmare.
Take care of your daughter, turn to your H. You need each other.

I just saw this thread. I'm so, so sorry for you & your DD & your BH. I hope you're able to turn toward each other in order to hold up DD at this critical time.

Yep. And every child that experiences it horror.
I haven't stopped thinking about her since I've read your post. God, so sad she has to go through this because of someone's sickness. Having it be a family member adds another horrible layer.
(((DD))) praying for healing and strength for you, little one

Thanks UO, I'm so grateful for your thoughts. She's having a good day today, and that makes me so happy. It blows my mind that this even happened. I am struggling greatly with my failure to protect. My most important job. I know that this wasn't my fault. I know that, but my God the feelings of guilt over it are tremendous. I should have protected.

(((bewuzzled))) It's natural for a mother to feel guilt. It's what we do! But, please don't hang onto that, you need your energy for other things.
Feel it, cry over it if you have to, but let the guilt go.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

You are. She is blessed by having parents that love, support, and believe her.
Sending prayers and strength for you all.
