New Beginnings :
How do I let a guy know I'm interested?

I am doing the friend request thing at 4:30. I need time to work up the courage

As a guy (IT guy too), I would say just do it now. I would be thrilled if a gal came right up to me and told me she was interested. It would be a huge rush!!!!

Now, if things don't work out, you can blame it on Jpapa!

You mean something I sugessted actually worked. I guess it is true that the sun does shine on a dog's behind once in a while and even a blind squirrel occasionaly finds a nut.

Two days of blushing and squeeing will do wonders for your spirit. Like PPGA said, if it doesn't work out you can blame it on some cliche spouting blind dog searching for his dinner.

Now you have to start e-flirting with him. Like things on his profile, or comment on them.

Yep. I like it as a compliment, and like what it says about her.

I love this! My (omg this is weird) SO, BB (aka: Sam Elliot) was my IT guy at my last job. We worked together for 2 years before he screwed up the courage to actually have a personal conversation with me. Now, several years (and lots of motorcycle miles) later, he tells me that I seduced him with my hot tub.

Who woulda thunk it?

Yeah, I know...there's a long story there....but IT guys seem to be terminally shy for some reason. Sometimes you have to get them naked in hot water before they *get* it.

Sometimes the hardest part of finally seeing through someone is accepting what you see...

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to
change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me.

nk, I'm excited for you... but I have to say that I certainly work in the wrong place. The IT guys in my building are wee little babies (like early 20s). Where's the sexy, middle-aged nerd that I'd willingly screw up my computer for?

Keep us posted so that we can live vicariously through your IT-Love Connection hijinks.
