mini update - one of the reasons things have been moving so slowly is that it turns out my sister's boss is leaving the company. he's going to another company that has been pursuing him for several months. he was told not to, and promised that he wouldn't, poach employees from current company. however, that does not include potential applicants who have not been called for an interview.

he told my sister to have me rework my resume, and get it back to her by Monday. then he'll let her know his new work email, and she'll send my revised resume to him, and he'll call me for an interview. he was even telling her what phrases for me to include on the resume, so that he would have some wiggle room for salary.

basically, unless I screw up the interview, looks like I could be getting a new job as my birthday present this year.

thanks, y'all. didn't get a call today but talked to my sister tonight. turns out potential new boss had meetings all day, and probably most of the week, at his new job. apparently he's the only one surprised by this. anyway, he told my sis to tell me not to worry, he hasn't forgotten. he's just way busier with the meetings than he expected to be.

so, all the mojo is working. I just apparently still need that lesson in being patient.
