I need to see when my finals are...and visitation schedule....I'm a maybe :) Anyone else in Richmond? I'm closer to the beach than DC/Maryland.

I'm fairly new to SI. Someone responding to my post mentioned G2G as a place to meet people with similar circumstances and have a nice time. I live in N. VA and this appears to be the closest G2G to me. I would be interested in attending a dinner in May.

Hey SeekingSanity! I'll PM you the g2g info when I'm on my computer (I'm rubbish at cutting and pasting on my ipad).
I just skimmed your other thread and as someone else divorced in the DMV area, I've had really great luck meeting new friends through MeetUp.com groups. They have them structured around all sorts of interests, singles groups, groups by age range, etc. I've really enjoyed the groups I've tried. You should check that out too. 
The other thing is that there's a site called thingstododc.com that plans group trips to really cool places overseas. Te demographics might be a little younger than you, but they go to some seriously cool places. They also have events where you can meet people (I recently did a starlit cherry blossom cruise through them). Check that out too.

I'm excited too!! I'm also just looking forward to being done with school for a little while.... Today and Thursday and I'm finished until July!
