I'm going to have a pillow on my lap when they do the sentencing.

That's because when both OJ and Casey were given their "justice" my jaw dropped. The pillow will catch my dropping jaw.

Oh, I truly pray that this is not the case....really really pray.

I will loose faith in USA's justice system. I also believe that Jodi will NOT be able to walk the streets any longer if she gets off with manslaughter. (she's done close to 5 years already, so they'd probably tack on only another few years).

Casey Anthony has not surfaced where she can be found. Can't work (who'd hire). Can't shop (she'd be delugued). Can't visit family (people will notice). Can't jog (she'd have a group following her). She's stuck inside and I hope it stays that way. It's not the jailtime she deserved, but it is another form of jail.

I am transfixed by this.

And meanwhile our own Canadian "dirty little secret" (Karla Homolka Bernardo)hightailed it out of the country when she got out of jail. I have a journalist friend who saw all her nasty tapes, showing she was just as much an equal participant as her husband. I wonder if the inhabitants of the Caribbean country where she now resides know she is a convicted murderer?

Edited to add: I believe Karla Homolka changed her name. I'm willing to bet that will also be what Casy does. And Jodi, if she's let off.

Sammie,

I just KNEW you were here lurking in the shadows somewhere. You junkie, you.

There is NO WAY she will walk. NO WAY. She has admit to the killing.

It really hasn't been that long. What has it been? Thirteen hours? It could take that long to get through the jury instructions for a responsible jury.

I keep going back to their questions. They asked SMART questions. I believe they will do the right thing. And even if there is a "holdout", that person has to convince all the rest to see things his/her way. I don't see that happening.

I would rather see a mistrial rather than a manslaughter verdict.

I said "I will NEVER watch a trial again, EVER!" after the Casey Anthony trial. I just couldn't be put through that again and here I am..waiting again, nervous again, knowing that if Jodi gets manslaughter I'll seriously lose my shit. I keep telling myself that this case is different from the Anthony one and it is, in a lot of ways. Jodi admitted she killed him, there is A LOT more evidence, etc..but after a few days of deliberation, I'm nervous all over again! I know in reality, especially compared to how long the trial went on, they haven't been deliberating long, but STILL

I absolutely, 100% believe they won't acquit her (I've said THAT before haha), but I am starting to fear a manslaughter verdict or murder 2. ANY sentence that puts her back on the streets any time in the next 20-25 years scares the ever living crap out of me!

I have to say, I'm glad this trial is almost over. I know no one forced me to watch, but I am just gettng so sick of her face. I'm sure she gloats over some of the details. You see her get this almost impreceptible little smile when she recounts some details. I have never seen real uncontrolled tears, just shoulders heaving and face covering. It's like her lawyers told her to fake it if she couldn't produce real. And oh my Lord, the tapes of her police interviews and media circuses are chilling. That girl can lie through her teeth and look like she's so truthful, yet somehow there's something vaguely OFF about everything she says--like it's being filtered through a curtain of dry ice. Scary.

The Casey Anthony trial left me very disenchanted. The same way I felt when OJ got off. I am hopeful that this jury will come back with M1. I am a little nervous about the length of time this is all taking.

I was talking to my fiance last night, lamenting over my current stressful life. He asked what I was stressed about and I said: "You KNOW. Looking for a new job, saving money for our trip, the trial, cleaning up the house..."

He said: The TRIAL?" and laughed at me.

But I really am a bit stressed about it. If the jury comes back with anything less than M1 I would feel like a great injustice was served.
