Has anyone else read this book by Patricia Love?
I thought it had some good techniques in it with the "Improve, Appreciate, Connect, Protect" thing. I was wondering if anyone else found this book helpful? I got it because most of the marriage books I read seem to be written with this idea that the couple will read it together, but it seems I'm usually reading and wanting to discuss them alone.
Anyone else find this book helpful?

I guess I should add... I also feel that there's something off about this book. I think the thing I mentioned is helpful, but there's something else that I can't put my finger on... Thought maybe it's because I'm not a fan of gender generalizations, and this book seems to try to drill this idea about men dealing with shame and women dealing with fear of isolation, and well, I'm just not a fan of generalizations. But some of the points seemed helpful. Was wondering if anyone else had read it and has a stronger sense?

Hi Silverhopes, I recently read this too and found it most helpful. H started reading it and is half way through (a first with my newly acquired library of infide-lit books
)
I agree that I find such blunt gender stereotyping uncomfortable as well but so much seemed to ring true - explains why talking about the A was so hard for him, and not talking about it was so painful for me. Trying to put it into practice (even when I actually want to smack him round the head with the damned book!)
