My advice to you is based on logistics that I am going to have to have in place when I have my WS served..Have a plan that you can live with and have your ducks in a row in case your WS refuses to leave the house..If the house is in both of your names, he is legally entitled to stay there unless you have physical evidence showing that he is violent, in which case you can kick him out and get a restraining order..If you kick him out and have the RO, it helps to have a supportive family or friend live with you temporarily as a support system in case WS decides to stalk or harass you..In other words do whatever it takes to set things up so that your way of life will be safer before you have him served... My ex wouldn't leave the house and ultimately we lost it because he couldn't make the payments. Still to this day, I hear about how I ruined his life and the loss of the house is OF COURSE, my fault.
I would never say someone is destined to never get the messages we (as betrayed spouses) tried to give, but I will say that for those that don't, you will forever hear about how bad you turned their life upside down and they will always push the blame for everything on us.
I wish I could have done the NC thing but didn't know how at the time.
You keep steady and continue posting on here; especially in those weak moments when you think you need to communicate with him.
Hugs to you!!!!
