My mom passed away shortly after my parents divorced. I cherish each and every picture of her, even the ones where it is obvious how unhappy they were.

I didn't even have kids with my WXH but I am holding onto some wedding pictures. It's part of my history. There are photos with 4 generations of my family. Someday someone might appreciate that, if not my own kids, maybe my great grand kids.

I'm not a child of divorce (parents married 38 yrs), but I will be keeping my wedding pictures for my kids if they ever want to see them. I have yet to throw anything away. No matter what it was our past.

I found some of our engagement pics and gave the pics to my 4 yr olds (none of WXH and I together though) who rarely see their father.

Me - Now 36 y/o
WXH: Now 45 y/o and 18+ hrs away -NPD asshole now onto wife #3.
My sweeties: 5 yr old B/G twins. 90% custody (or more) since 14 months old.

I am and so is my son. Both my parents are deceased.

I have my mother's "Parent's Book" of photos of the wedding joining his dad and I stored for him.

I am, and I have the photo album from my parents' wedding and their honeymoon.

Their marriage was miserable, but it is nice to see that they loved each other once.

I am SO happy they divorced, don't get me wrong....but it is nice to see that they were happy once.

R you a child of divorced parents?

Yes.

They did a good job with me in regards to divorce. I didn't feel like it was my fault, and felt loved by both, no bad mouthing the other parent, etc.

Do you have or would you have wanted wedding pictures of your parents?

No.

Younger years pictures are good but wedding pics, pass.

My parents aren't divorced but my MIL and FIL are- due to multiple infidelities on MIL's part.

They gave the pics to their kids after divorce but I think they both must have kept a few- we have some even. I asked my FIL if he finds them sad and he said not at all- he was happy with her for a long time and she's an important part of his life- the mother of his children, grandmother of his grandchildren etc.

-I found it a very interesting conversation with him to be honest.

It is really interesting how people feel different ways. Maybe with due time I would feel the same. Right now I don't.
