After two years of living in two freezing basement rooms in someone else's house while STBXWH continues to live in our dream home complete with home theater and hot tub - I am MOVING!!!
Went to see a little house today - over 100 years old but fully renovated. Took my dad for a carpenters opinion. He bought the house!!! His name on the deed will prevent STBXWH from any claim. If and when the D is final and our home sells, I will buy it from my dad.
I'm SO excited! Finally I can get MY things out of storage and get off the sidelines and begin moving forward!
It's perfect for me - tiny house, big trees, character and charm, new siding, insulation, roof, eaves, deck, landscaping, waterproofing, plumbing, wiring and windows! Nothing to be done except move in and settle down. Thankyou God!!

I can tell you from experience that moving out of "temporary" housing and into your own place is very good for your healing. Congratulations!

My head is still reeling. Was NOT expecting that at all! Dad will get paid back as I will buy the house back, but him doing this now, enables me to get on with my life even though STBX is dragging the D out endlessly.
( maybe it's his way of saying sorry that he walked out of my life 47 years ago into the arms of his OW?)
Whatever the reason, he offered, and I am SO grateful!
