My forbearance on one of my loans was approved today! That will save me a $220 payment a month for the next year! I'm so happy I could cry.....now I can afford groceries without feeling guilty.....

And, I applied to be a secret shopper.... and figured I could do some of that during my lunch break at work or something or on the weekends... if it pays okay....then the little bit of extra money would help...

Now....just pray for me because I have a chiropractic appointment today to have my hips adjusted. I did something to my sciatic nerve again or have piriformis syndrome from running and I have a half marathon race scheduled for April 20th and it means a lot to me to run that! I've trained so hard and it will be so disheartening to have to miss that race! Here's hoping for the continuation of miracles!

Congrats! Student loan forebearance is such a godsend. My loan payments total $320 and since I'm unemployed I wouldnt be able to eat either without it.

What a relief!

That is just super, wonderful news!!!

I am also a runner, so I know exactly how important it is to not only feel pain free, but also be able to complete a race that you've trained for.

Enjoy these wonderful things as much as possible; you deserve it.

Well, decent news on the hip! I "adjusted" very easily which was a good sign and even though I failed 5 out of the 6 strength tests with my legs before being adjusted....after the adjustment I passed all 6!!! YAY! He said that the race will be a 50/50 chance of having a decent one and to just listen to my body! I think I'm gonna go for it! I really want to do this one and am too darn stubborn not to try!! So, wish me luck!

Now if I can sell at least one or 2 of the things I have listed on Ebay, I will be set and my bills will be caught up! thank goodness for small miracles!!!

Yay! I'm so glad you got some relief.

Don't forget the income-based repayment option! It can be surprisingly cheap. And any time you spend on either it or the 10-year plan accrues towards a 25 year timer that will totally forgive your loans (i'm assuming these are stafford loans or the like and not fully private loans?)

Also! If your income is zero, your payment is zero on IBR, so it can be a good alternative to using up forbearance if you're unemployed.

I'm not unemployed...and I make a decent salary....I just have a lot of debt...so I'm not sure how the income-based option will work for me...but I will definitely look into it!! Thank you!
