How'd it go talking to your boss?

If you decide you can afford that ticket to Paris, maybe you can afford mine too!

Figured I would bump this up for background...so it's almost been a year!

Was starting to feel ok about taking on that women's job that the training lady kept pushing. Training lady has been promoted to supervisor and will be hiring another person to take over the job of another person that is going out on disability. Anyway, tried to chit chat with her today and she says when the new person is hired there will be major restructuring and we will all help everyone rather than our assigned bosses. Wtf? She's still not my supervisor but was promoted for being there forever and is working with the overall dept. supervisor to hire this new person. Should I take this with a grain of salt? I can't imagine what she is proposing. Would be utter chaos. I'm now used to the people I work for (3) and don't want to have to work for double the amount of people. She said it would be a team atmosphere. My big boss who I work for won't like this either. My annual review is coming up do I mention this to dept. supervisor? Do I talk to my big boss? Ugh! I swear I really try to be nice to this lady but it's always something she has brewing...help

Working for multiple bosses, not really knowing who your "real" boss is, absolutely SUCKS! Team atmosphere is so overrated, and often is counter productive the way it is actually implemented. I'm not saying you should not get along with your colleagues or that people should not have an idea how to help each other out and be supportive when needed, but I think there needs to be organization where everybody knows their own assigned duties, and knows who they must "answer to." (and it can't be everybody when not all those people are going to agree on what should be done).

Yes, that is part of it, Bobbie Sue. Right now I am just going to do my own work and worry about me and not this new position and what the training lady wants. I want to enjoy the holidays this year as last year I started the job and didn't get much of a break or peace of mind to enjoy them

Wow..this training lady wont let up. Today we were closed for non essential employees. She emails asking where I am. Says we need to talk. Just cause workplace is closed doesnt mean we dont come in.. Wtf?

So irritated.
