I still have work to do on healing emotionally from the physical abuse from others.
Thank you. A big reason that emotionally this is where I am today, is due to all the support on SI. 
Sometimes, I just need to vent.

IMHO, as long as the relationship/friendship is beneficial to you, and not just something you feel obligated to maintain because of a shared past, maintain it. Once it stops benefiting you though, that's when I think most of us would agree to put some distance. It doesn't sound like you've hit that point.
