WH seems to be saying and doing the right things. I am on the lookout for false positives --I KNOW he knows what he should do because we had a couple of years of false R and MC where (now i know) he really didn't disclose everything and get to the bottom.. He can charm and manipulate very well-even our MC was pleased w the progress and prognosis for us when we had our last session with her. Fooled her too. I in the past was the wife who took care of everything for husband and kids. I interviewed to find right MC setup appts etc and he had to just "show up". No longer. Drew a line and said show me what you are going to do about this- I will 'do me' and decide if his actions are good enough for me to consider a real run at R or if it time for me to go it alone. He said today his goal for the week is to find IC that knows how to counsel Wayward spouses and get started on it ASAP. Feeling guardedly hopeful because this is new behavior.

Conflicted1, you sound like you are in as good of a place as you can. I hope your confidence and alertness stay high. You sound like a very strong woman! Enjoy your time you are now taking for you! You most definitely deserve it!

Dont back down from that line. Consistant actions are what you need to see, over the course of time. (((hugs)))
Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

Thank you for the encouragement. Had a somewhat normal Monday night and I feel like I got a decent (non sleep aid induced) sleep. Amazing what sleeping can do for your outlook. He checked into health coverage for counseling yesterday and requested an appt w his doctor and reported in on those things as soon as he walked in the door last night. It takes six weeks to develop a habit right?
