Tomorrow my SO fly's back to his family, 1400 kms away. The final chapter of a horrible story that started 5 or 6 weeks ago. I know it is for the best, but today all my anger melted away and horrible sadness, grief and despair set in. I thought this man was my sole mate and now my world has turned upside down. I was so blindsided. I have started grieving the loss of him, and he doesn't even go until tomorrow. I can't stop sobbing and am an emotional mess.

Has anyone else experienced this intense out-pouring of grief when push comes to shove, and you have to finally let them go forever?

Newly single and trying to find my feet.

There's always light at the end of the tunnel, just pray it's not a train.

Yes. It is perfectly normal to feel this way and you will for a while. With time your pain will get better until there comes a day that you say to yourself, I am glad I did it. Don't expect that now. You have to grieve your loss and that's perfectly OK. (((HUGS)))
