We just finished a series of 7 intro group lessons at a local HS - $141/couple - foxtrot, rumba, cha-cha, mambo, waltz, American tango. I learned a lot. The teacher also runs a series of dances in the area with open bars and, usually, an hour lesson at the start. The cost is $10-$15/person, but the extra $5 gets you a 2 hour lesson....

For Chicagoans - Bob Urbon, ballroomchicago.com. I strongly recommend Bob and his W, Penny, especially for beginners.

Sisoon, that is cool that you and your W tried this out. Might need a g2g in your area around of these dances.

Our DD is getting married next summer. The 4 of us are going to take dance lessons so we don't do the "just walk in a circle" dance for those special ones!

Love isn't what you say, it's what you do.
