I have been in a fwb relationship since Nov. We truly are friends and have maintained that part of our relationship. We are both un able/unwilling to be committed to someone at this point in our lives.
This has been really wonderful experience for me (us). He told me 3 weeks ago that it was beginning to get complicated for him. We agreed to end the physical aspect of the friendship w/o any anger or tears. We still hang out on a regular basis.
I cannot deny that I wish we were still intimate at times but I do not take it personally. I do not feel rejected. We had talked at length before we had sex that it could only continue if both of us felt comfortable.
After the battering my self esteem took during that horrible excuse for a marriage this has been a positive experience. I hope that we both find the right person to be with.
After 27 years of only being with the ex who would have thought that I would have had a fwb experience!

Awesome realization.
I had a fwb for about 1.5 years. He really helped me figure out what I want/need/expect from myself and others in a relationship.

The FWB helped your battered self esteem and you have no regrets, can't ask for more than that.

It's my life now, my choices, my mistakes to make and my victories to celebrate. His choices made me free of liars and betrayers in my life. That is priceless.

He is a friend and treats me as such. I was shocked by his kindness. Not used to that.
