It's been almost three years since DD and going on 1 1/2 years post divorce and I finally went on my first date! It was a completely enjoyable evening with an intelligent gentleman with a great sense of humour (and yes, all the courtesies that come with it - opening doors, walking on the outside of the sidewalk - god, I love chivalry 
). We spent 4 1/2 hours at the restaurant talking about anything and everything. It was such a pleasure to be with an interesting, interested man. While we parted with a hug, we are making plans to go out again.
I had doubts that I would ever get to this point after all the hurtful things my Ex said and did, but it is really nice to be appreciated by a man!

There are wonderful men out there and happy you found one that showed you not all are like the exes we have.
It's so good to see you are back living life "normally" again !That 's HUGE !
