I've needed to do this and finally bit the bullet and talked to my old attorney for a bit about it today.
He said it was a good idea, given the time that has passed and changes that have happened.
He wants me to get a few things together...and then we'll talk.
Now, I'm not so sure I need a lawyer (i.e. new retainer and whatever charges that go along with it) for something like modifying CS, but I also don't know how to do on my own...so is it worth hiring this guy again (or maybe finding someone new? our D was real fast and didn't go as far as like cars, college and whatever. It sort of ended up where we knew what to expect until each child entered high school. As far as after middle school; there's nothing 'in place' outside of CS until they're 18, you know?).
I just don't want to rack up lawyer fees for 'nothing'.

You could look into the state doing it for you.
I think...therefore, I'm single.

I tried to go through the state. They wouldn't even review it unless it had been 3 years. Well, the very unhelpful woman said if one of my kids had a terminal illness. At that point, both of us had new jobs and I was shouldering ALL the afterschool care cost because I was full time (new since D trial).
Anyway, I am going through my lawyer. Filled through the court just yesterday. Will let you know how it goes.

Wow, that three year thing bites. I know in Texas it's three years unless there have been substantial changes in income or circumstances.
Tune out the noise of what others tell you about who you are and work it out for yourself...

They will do it in my state once a year.

Seeing as wannabe divorced in 2009, it's been over 3 years.
I think you should get your things together and then talk to your old attorney. Find out from him how much is involved and then make a decision if you think you'll need a lawyer. My guess is no, but I haven't been down that road. My XH makes quite a bit more money than he did when we divorced, but I'm also working too. I was SAHM going through school then.
