Phone interview today, another tomorrow. Both sound like really good positions and would be great next steps in a career path plus, keep everything the same and the D moving forward w/o any hitches or changes like having to sell the house instead of keeping it to provide stability for DS.

Really important since it looks like I have a high probability of losing my current job at the end of the month. Right now I'm really just waiting for an email from the VP letting me know that my services are no longer required because they don't have work for me to do.

Thanks everyone. That helped calm the nerves. I think that they went well. We will see if I get to go to the in person interviews next.

So, as an update, the phone interviews went well but, the first position was filled by an internal candidate and I'm waiting to hear back from the company recruiter for the second who finally called me back late this past Friday.

On a positive note, a few change requests came through for my current position that would keep me safe through the end of the year.

On a spectacular note, I had an interview for another position with the same company that filled the first position and was just given an offer. WooHoo!!! It is working in a position that has long term prospects with a mix of things that will allow me to apply what I know while being able to learn new things which will allow me better employment prospects in the future. Plus it pays more and my commute would be 15 minutes instead of 25. Such a huge relief. I will most likely accept tomorrow, even if they don't agree to more vacation.

So thank you all for all of the positive thoughts in my direction. SI mojo does work. (anecdotally... )
