My therapist recommended this author to me, and I borrowed this book from our library (and have 2 others on hold.) However, I'm about to click on the Amazon link at the top of SI and order it.
A-MA-ZING
Not at all about infidelity, but definitely about some of the things that stop us from living an authentic life. I feel badly that I have folded over so many corners in a library book, but it was that or get out the highlighter, and I was not about to do that!
Among other things, I am really enjoying the way she talks about being authentic, belonging, why setting boundaries is so critical, and how to practice self-compassion.
Has anyone else read this book and liked it? It seems to be really striking a nerve with me in a positive way.

Brown is wonderful. You would like Daring Greatly, too. It's about vulnerability and how shame impacts our willingness to be vulnerable.
She packed up her potential and all she had learned and headed out to change a few things.

I just mentioned her TED talks in another thread today. :) Isn't she wonderful? I haven't read the books. I'll definitely look into it.

I'm halfway through this book. It's very good. I placed a hold on Daring Greatly at my library too.
