This morning the water heater was dead. No pilot light, nothing. Checked the gas tank, it was full so that was not the issue.

So, I worked my way through the instructions and bingo, I am about to take a nice hot shower.

I know these are little things but they make me happy. Mastering something new on a regular basis and learning as I go. Liberating!

Temporarily independent with the whole world at my feet.

Makes you feel good, doesn't it?

Those "litle" triumphs feel SO good! Plus it makes you feel strong and independent knowing you don't have to call someone to do it for you. I still remember phoning my Mom the first time I emptied a mouse trap!

Be careful what you wish for the most - you may get it.
