Today I am going back to work 3 months after having my right knee replaced!!!
I haven't been up at 0530 hrs (to stay up) for months so it was a shock to my system when the alarm clock went off, but here I am....
My knee is doing well, and I am going on a "work hardening" program so only have to do 2 hours not 12, and I am looking forward to getting back into my regular routine!!!
Wish me luck....I'm sure it will go by quickly....hope so at least....lol...HUGS

Yay for you. I hope its a good day and you knee feels great.
I hate that you had to get up at 5:30 though to go in for only 2 hours. It's a real shame that you couldn't sleep until 8 and go in mid-morning.

Good luck with the knee.
5:30 is my wakeup time also and I woke up at 6:30 today on my day off, sunny day so I don't mind being up and at it, but winter will be another story. :p

How did it go? How's your knee feeling?

It went really well....it seemed like I just got there and turned around to come home again....
I do these short shift for another couple of days and then move up to 4 hours for a few shifts......that will be a better judge of how it is going to feel after running for 4 hours...
As a nurse I usually work 12 hr shifts so it is a long way off those, but a good way to start back at it....
Now if I can just get my sleep schedule back to a decent bed time...i'm too used to laying in bed watching tv half the night and sleeping in
Guess I will have to discipline myself to shut it off and go to sleep earlier....HUGS
