I read this today in a post by the Bloggess. Her post was about depression, but this quote echoed for me in another way.
It reminded me so very much of the moments back when I was in the thick of things. The moments when the pain of the betrayal, the chaos of the every day, and the relentlessness of the shit storm would part, and for a brief moment, I could see the sun again. I could see what was on the horizen, and I could visualize the new normal that was waiting, just around the next corner. Those moments saved my sanity in the darker days.

I love this NIK - so true!!
Sunlight has been big for my healing metaphorically and literally (ironic if you knew me - I have Vitiligo). It has been so nice to 'feel' myself too after having numbed and dumbed myself down for so long.

I keep thinking that if I just hold on for a little while longer it will be like giving birth....painful for a little while but you have a wonderful new life on the other side.
